A Guide To The Tour Experience At Doka Coffee Plantation

Visiting Doka Coffee Plantation in Costa Rica is a unique and unforgettable experience. It is one of the largest coffee plantations in the world and offers visitors a glimpse into the world of coffee production and farming. The tour provides a behind-the-scenes look at the entire process, from the picking and sorting of the beans to the roasting and packaging of the finished product.  

Tours 

Doka coffee plantation offers a variety of tours for visitors to choose from. The most popular tour is the “Coffee Tour” which takes participants on a guided tour of the plantation, with stops at the various stages of coffee production. The tour begins with a visit to the coffee fields, where participants can observe the picking and sorting of the beans. Next, the tour moves to the roasting and packaging facilities, where participants can learn about the roasting process and see the packaging machines in action. The tour then concludes with a tasting of the freshly roasted coffee beans.

Activities  

In addition to the tour, Doka Coffee Plantation also offers a variety of activities for visitors. Participants can explore the grounds on a guided nature walk, or take a ride on the plantation’s horse-drawn carriage. There are also several hands-on activities available, such as planting coffee seedlings, harvesting beans, and learning about the production process.  

Shop 

At the end of the tour, visitors can visit the plantation’s shop and purchase some of the freshly roasted coffee beans for themselves. The shop also sells a variety of other products, such as coffee mugs, t-shirts, and other souvenirs. There is also a café on the premises which serves a variety of coffee-based drinks and snacks.
